Sorø BC DM Cross arrangør 2014
Sorø Bicycle Club har efter forespørgsel fra Danmarks Cykle Union’s Cyklecrossudvalg sagt ja tak til at arrangere og afvikle de danske mesterskaber i cyklecross enten d. 5. eller 12. januar 2014.
Vi har tidligere stolte cyklecross traditioner og har haft flere landsholdsryttere i klubben, bl. a. Heino Kolberg som stadig er aktiv, ligesom vi har afviklet DM flere gange før. Det vil således være 3. gang Sorø afvikler DM siden midten af firserne. Herudover har klubben igennem årene arrangeret mange crossløb, senest PostCupperne d. 30. oktober og 2. januar 2011.
Begge løb fik stor ros fra både ryttere og Crossudvalg, så det er uden “bæven” vi går ind til opgaven i 2014.
Vi kan nu også præsentere vor egen Morten Christensen som ny crossrytter. Morten fik sin debut i søndags i Holbæks løb, men måtte desværre udgå med defekt efter blot ½ omgang, hvor han på daværende tidspunkt lå nr. 4 i løbet som bedste B-rytter efter Jonas Pedersen, Emil Arvid Olsen og Tommy Moberg Nielsen.
Forhåbentlig er Morten klar igen til løbet d. 31.12. i Svanninge Bakker på Fyn og ikke mindst til DM på Bellahøj d. 8. januar.
